First Impression
THAT COVER!! It's so pretty, oh so pretty! I haven't read the Matched series by Ally Condie, so this will be my first Ally Condie read. After reading the summary I became extremely curious to see how this would all play out since I feel this is a mermaid book.
Opening Lines
"My twin sister, Bay, and I pass underneath the brown-and-turquoise banners hanging from the ceiling of the temple. Dignitaries perch on their chairs in the gallery, watching, and people crowd the pews in the nave."

I'm conflicted between 3.5 stars and 4 stars...
I found the first chapter to be way too descriptive and at times very hard to follow. Because of this I wasn't sure if I would actually be interested in reading the full book, but once I got halfway through chapter 2 and onto chapter 3 I knew for sure I would read the full thing. Atlantia really starts to pick up halfway through chapter 2, and we are introduced to two (what I predict to be) very interesting characters. I just hope that Atlantia keeps up with the well created plot that has formulated so far and doesn't fall flat. Also, I noticed that this is labelled as a dystopian novel on Goodreads (which makes sense) but this genre has never really worked out for me. This may finally be the book that gets me to love dystopian books!
Lasting Impression
Overall, Atlantia seems like a promising read! I'm very excited and impatient about it being released in October because now I can't wait to read and find out what happens next!
